Helen Doron
Helen Doron is a British linguist and educator. Her (Helen Doron Education Group ) offers English learning, English Kindergartens, Maths and other language learning using methodologies developed by Helen herself over the past 30 years; the various Helen Doron learning centres are linked to each other through a franchise network. She is best known for the Helen Doron method of English language education for children from 3 months to 18 years. Her method is in use today in a number of public and private schools throughout the world. ==Biograph== Doron studied linguistics and the French language at the University of Reading, UK, and taught at the University of Poitiers in France before completing her MA in Linguistics. Helen Doron began teaching English as a Second Language ESL in order to share her own insights into how children naturally learn a new language - not through reading and writing, but through first understanding and speaking. After a few years she developed her own methodology, known as the Helen Doron method. Helen Doron pioneered her exclusive language learning methodology in 1985, based on the ‘natural’ way infants learn their native tongue - by repeated hearing and positive reinforcement. In 1990, the first learning center was opened and today the Helen Doron Educational Franchise Group is a respected international brand teaching children English on four continents. The method is used in small group afternoon classes and also systematically in schools. Several papers have been written about the method and the levels of satisfaction of parents and teachers.〔http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a746746898〕〔http://www.earlyreadingplayschool.com.au/OurStrategy/YSE/os-yse-helendoron.htm〕
